Case study · Deliverability recovery · 90 days
From 54% inboxing to a 100/100 deliverability score in 90 days.
Klaviyo deliverability score
open rate
click rate, 0% spam complaints

The starting point
The brand had a sizable list, but only about 54% of its emails were reaching inboxes. Engagement was falling, revenue had flatlined and every campaign felt like a guess. New templates would have landed in the same spam folders, so the work started with sending health.
What we did
- Removed contacts with no opens or clicks in 90+ days, built suppression segments, and warmed re-engagement segments back up with low-risk content
- New segments based on engagement and behavior, with the most engaged groups sent to first to rebuild sender reputation
- Subject lines that invite curiosity, emails that encourage replies and clicks, and redesigned calls to action
- SPF, DKIM and DMARC set up correctly, the sending domain verified, and volume adjusted during the repair period
The results
Within 90 days Klaviyo’s deliverability score reached 100/100. Open rate hit 61.1%, click rate 15.6%, and unsubscribe and spam complaint rates fell to 0%, all without switching platforms or sending domains.
The brand kept the same platform and sending domain throughout. Every change was to the list, the segments or the content.
